PLEDGES< CREEDS< CHARACTER FOCUS

Pledge of Allegiance

I pledge allegiance to the flag of the United States of America, and to the republic for which it stands, one nation, under God, indivisible, with liberty and justice for all.

Oklahoma Flag Salute

I salute the flag of the State of Oklahoma. Its symbols of peace unite all people.

Cache School Song

Oh when the Cache School (High) Bulldogs fall in line, we’re gonna win this game another time. For the football team we love so well, for the football team we’ll yell and yell and yell. We’re gonna fight, fight, fight forever more, we’re gonna circle in and win some more. We’re gonna roll the old (opposing team) off the field, Fight, Fight, Fight.

At Cache Middle School we take pride in having a school that emphasizes good Character and Integrity. On a daily basis, we strive to focus on and model these traits. We have the Leader in Me and Move to Learn lessons daily to facilitate and teach good character.

Many of these following programs are presented during the school year to also help in building young women and men of good character and integrity.

CMS Creed

At Cache Middle School, we are T.H.I.N.K.E.R.S.:

We Think before we speak and

We Help others to belong.

We Inspire instead of criticize and

We Nurture to make us strong.

We're Kind to one another and

We Exemplify getting along.

We Respect and value others and

We Strive to do no wrong.

We ARE the CMS BULLDOGS!

Rachel’s Challenge - Five Principles

  1. Look for the best in others.

  2. Remember the “Golden Rule”. Treat others the way you want to be treated.

  3. Choose positive influences.

  4. Speak words of kindness not cruelty. Words can hurt and words can heal.

  5. Forgive yourself and others.

Great Expectations Eight Expectations for Living (Code of Conduct)

  1. We will value one another as unique and special individuals.

  2. We will not laugh at or make fun of a person’s mistakes nor use sarcasm or putdowns.

  3. We will use good manners, saying “please,” thank you,” “excuse me” and allow others to go first.

  4. We will cheer each other on to success.

  5. We will help one another whenever possible.

  6. We will recognize every effort and applaud it.

  7. We will encourage each other to do our best.

  8. We will practice virtuous living, using the Life Principles.

T.H.I.N.K. about Respect

Trustworthy, Honesty, Integrity, Noble, Kindness

Trustworthy: Trustworthiness can be defined as “being worthy of someone’s trust or confidence”. Trustworthiness is achieved by choosing to take (or not take) certain actions.

Honesty: Honesty means telling the truth no matter what consequences you may face.  An honest person does what he says he is going to do and never lies, cheats or steals.

Integrity: “doing the right thing even when nobody's watching.”

Noble: having, showing, or coming from personal qualities that people admire (such as honesty, generosity, courage, etc.)

Kindness: the act of going out of your way to be nice to someone or show a person you care. An example of an act of kindness would be: you see a student accidently dump out supplies from their binder in the hallway and you stop and help them pick up the items.

T.H.I.N.K. Before you Speak.

The Character lessons are intended to teach us why we ALL need to THINK before we speak.

We should learn to ask ourselves the following questions before speaking to or about someone.

Is it…True? Is it…Helpful? Is it…Important? Is it…Necessary? Is it…Kind?
